It's been awhile

I sure got out of the habit of posting---not that I ever did have a posting habit. Since cyclocross season I have mainly been hitting the slopes, did a couple snowshoes and trying to ride into work everyday.
I really love bike commuting. It's so much easier than driving, let alone less expensive. SOme think trying to commute through the wet Seattle winter is nutz, but once you get your bike and clothing sorted out it's really not bad at all. My commuter bike is a mid 90s GT Edge cyclocross frame. In place of drop bars I opted for a flat bars and found some old Deore XT thumbshifters. It's really a nice set up and even with lights and fenders the bike is just sub 20 lbs.
It's also nice the Seattle Metropolitan building where I work built cyclone fence cages around two of the three bike parking areas. Once the weather turn nice I'll be able to ride my C'Dale Six13 in and not worry.
