Slight rant...blinky light

It's that time of year in Seattle when the bike commuting crowd has to don rear blinkies and front lights. Now I'm all for people riding with lights. The worst this is riding down the trail at night nearly running into some dumbass because they are riding with zero lights, no reflector or reflective clothing. This seems to happen at least once a ride.

But, front blinking lights are for riding on the street so you don't blend into the background light of the city. On the urban trails put that front light on solid so we all don't blind with that flashing....oh, and point at the ground. I won't even start about HID lights for commuting.
