Racing, Training and Sea Slaughter

It has been a while since I posted so here's a quick recap.

The second race of the Indie Series was Dash for the Cash on Widbey Island. It was a perfect day with blue skys and sun. The course was very fast with 4 mile lap times well under twenty minutes. Overall I was happy with my race. I had a fair start, but did get caught up in traffic. After the first lap things sorted themselves out and I was able to move up several riders. For laps 2-3.5 I was somewhere between 10th to 13th. Toward the end of the race my back was not having fun. I really had to maintain now to finish and was forced to give up many positions. By the end the placing was not so great, but I did earn a good chuck of points for the overall.

Next week several of us Ti riders will be heading down for Sea Otter. It's been a few years since I've been to this huge event. I'm pretty excited. After the racing there we are going to head to Auburn, CA for a mini training camp. I hope the weather is sunny and warm. My pasty skin needs some sun.
